Holiday Jacket '06

Every year I tend to really get into the holiday spirit. Which means that every year I tend to get a new clothing item to wear to my various holiday parties. This year I made something.

When I was in Virginia over Thanksgiving, I saw a jacket on a mannequin in Macys that I liked, but it needed changes. This is the product of those changes. Gathered cap sleeves instead of regular short sleeves, patch pockets rather than flaps, and vintage snaps from my Mom's collection of buttons from High School.

I decided to use the crimson cordurouy as there was enough left over from a Santa Suit I made for the Directing Projects. So ultimately this jacket was free!
