Description
My good friend Lor asked me to make a Legolas Tunic for him. So I agreed. The collar hadn't turned out how I wanted it to, but that's because of an error on my part. I should have made a muslin first to fine tune the pattern. I'll be adding embroidery soon since I tend to work harder on projects for people I love and care about. I hand stitched the collar hem, the bottom hems and facings. The rest is machine done.
Lor gave me the fabric. It's a gorgeous green weave that has a fantastic weight and hand to it. Five button closures down the front. Sadly, we couldn't find anything even remotely like the hooks used in Lord of the Rings. I think I might like these better. The darker metal goes great with the darker green material.
Apologies for the breasts. I don't have a male dress form. Click here for Button Detail.
