The first costume for my Senior Project is done. I have 5 weeks before premier and I'm chuggin' along.
In case you don't know, Luciana is a character in Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors. I've opted to set the scene between Luciana and Antipholus of Syracuse in Ancient Rome. Mostly because I wanted to take a few more liberties with style and Egyptian influences.
The fabric is a neat synthetic that has a texture to it that makes it look like a knit while draping beautifully about the body. I went for a little unity in the jewelry and belt with the circles (heh, duh?) and only 10 minutes ago finished the belt.
One of these days I'll get better light in my sewing room so I can take better pictures.
