Stargate: Hades - Ancient by FenigDurak Stargate: Hades - Ancient by FenigDurak
Visit StargateHades.com for more information on the film this costume was made for.

It's a simple piece, really. White dress, lined in cotton in an attempt not to share my undies with the world. Plum colored sheer jacket with hood and long drape. All of the drape is stitched down so I don't have to mess with it. There are snaps hidden in places to keep it attached where I want it. Design based on ancient Grecian dress, but twisted a little to suit Stargate.

Photo was recently taken at a portfolio shoot by a friend of mine: Bill Blackburn.

If the shawl was a light blue that could have been a pretty cute wedding gown.. no?

First of all, this is a beautiful costume and a great shot. Second of all, we desperately need photographers like you in the stock community. Your entire gallery is so varied and wonderful, perhaps you might consider it. You definately have the skills.

Thank you very much! I'll have to mention that to Bill as he was the photographer for my last handful of submissions. Other than that, I'll see what I can come up with this season.

To be honest, I wish I had thought of doing my hair like that for the film. I think it would have looked better. Oh well. Also, bummer that you can barely see me in the footage. Stupid sunset.

I love the simplicity of the design, and that jacket is divine! I love drapey flowy things!! This definately reminds me of Oma Desala :D

I was hoping for a tiny bit of an Oma vibe, without actually stealing from her closet. ;) Of all the things in my closet right now, this is my current favorite.

Well you definately succeeded in that! It's definately got the Ancient feel, without being a direct rip off. I really love it! I can see why it's your favourite!

I mean, really, how often does one get to wear a white dress and not be Princess Leia or some bride?

That's so true!! Though I'm not a fan of white, I'm too pale for it :P Of course I make exceptions for Leia ;)And the purple is just such a glorious colour. When I first saw it, I thought you'd jsut gotten a scarf and draped it, but then I realised it was all shaped, and it was a jacket!! Just lovely!! I love drapey :D

I had fun with that drapey. I threw it places, hung it places, let it drag, wrapped it around things, the works. So fun.
