This is the complete Titania costume as designed and built by me for my Senior Project "Costumes & Comedies: A (brief) Night of Shakespeare" at Uni of Denver.
I used all silk and cotton (for the corset) on the garment since there really isn't anything like natural fibers. The wings are made of 12 guage wire with white LEDs and tulle for the wing wraps.
The appliques on the skirt and top are all hand stitched and I got to learn how to do really minor electrical work for the wings. Thanks Shima! Oh, there are also 6 gold LEDs in my hair, though you can only see 3. Funny story with that, we were turning on all the gold lights and putting them in my hair and then people in the green room started smelling something burning and my first thought was "GET THESE THINGS OUT OF MY HAIR!!!" but it was the stage lights in the main hall, they were dusty and being turned on for the first time in nearly a year.
